Could Purple Be The Answer?

Yes,  purple is the answer  if you love the colors of green metalic bees against fall blooming aster.

or, how gentle plectranthus 'Mona Lavender' looks in a shady nook.

Stokesia laevis
....And, certainly yes, it's the answer for a spring wildflower you  discover  blooming   in the middle of a drought.

Of course,  purple is the answer to long bloom when you add a morning glory to a container that greets you ever day.

Some colors are more perfect than othersPurple may be one of them~I've painted chairs, a tuteur and a fence a deep rich velvet purple.  So would you be surprised to discover that more purple has been added to the gardens of Clay and Limestone? Bear with me please~and have a seat on the Waiting Bench.

The Waiting Bench is  where I sit waiting for butterflies to visit the Susans or contemplate garden  changes.   It's where I wait on mosquito less days for visiting friends or pause to rest.    A gardening friend with a poetic nature christened it  such...and the name stuck and grew to include the wild garden behind it. I love the 'new' bench. It invites visitors and gardener to sit and enjoy the garden. It's a good focal point.  The rich brown echoed the columns on the carport and the house. In a garden with a lot going on, the brown looked lovely all year long. Alas, poor Bench, has lost his zing to a brutal summer sun and heavy rains earlier this summer. He needed a face lift...

In this case,  purple is the answer, when the question is~ "What can give my garden pizazz?"
