  2. Welcome back. And I just remembered I forgot to leave a comment for your bloom day post! I'll have to look for it now. Sorry about that.

  4. Carol,

That is certainly okay...it will take a few days for me to catch up with everyone and even then I might have to just start again.

  6. mmd,

If I wasn't me I would be jealous of me...this was really a lovely vacation! The weather cooperated...hardly any humidity...and the company was delightful! This isn't helping is it!

  8. Dee,

It was a good one, we land locked people need to be by the water occasionally! Have you vacationed yet?

  9. It's a lovely teaser, Gail - guess you had a great trip. Our Carolina beach trips were over the state line into North Carolina, but might not be too different from yours or Frances'...sand, sun, shrimp boats and pelicans. And sunscreen!

  10. Annie,

Exactly! Toss in a bit of good food and it's a Carolina beach vacation!
Where do you go now to get a bit of a rest and play?

  11. Hi Gail, what a wonderful shot. That area of the country is so beautiful, we love it also. I can't wait to hear all about it. So glad you're back. Here it has been no rain for days and weeks. It is bad.

  12. Frances,

I know I came home to a very droopy garden...with the ground already rock hard! While at Folly I began to think it might be time to rethink the garden...try to be more water conscious. We had lots of political discussions...especially around water rights. The world will be very different for our grandchildren and great grandchildren. Can you hear my big sad sigh?

  15. Phillip,

I think I was truly lucky that morning...it was just so lovely out and no one was really about. Do go to South Carolina sometime...I think the spring when gardens are open to tours would be wonderful! You have a wonderful southern garden!

  16. skeeter,

It was wasn't it! But then it always seems so on a beach with no trees to block the view.
