A few days ago, meems (Hoe and Shovel) gave me the honor of choosing ten Excellent Award winners blogs ...if they accept the award they agree to this rule: By accepting this Excellent Blog Award, you agree to award it to 10 more people whose blogs you find Excellent Blog Award worthy. And you get this really neat banner for your blog! Meems had to tell me how to copy the banner and post it!

But seriously, I am a new blogger and as such, have only experienced a tiny portion of the many excellent blogs and bloggers out there in cyberspace. The blogs I visit and bloggers who visit me have all been a remarkably kind, funny, encouraging, informative, passionate, supportive, talented, creative, resilient, fabulous, uplifting group of writers, photographers, growers of children, spirit lifters, community supporters and kind and generous to all....and so much more. Here are only 10 of the many bloggers and blogs I think of as Excellent. After you visit them, please let me know if I have forgotten an important adjective!

Tina (In The Garden)
Joy (gardenjoyforme)
Phillip (Dirt Therapy)
Dave (The Home Garden)
Anna (flowergardengirl)
Susan (Sustainable Gardening Blog)
Bonnie (Kiss of Sun and Life of a Jackelope)
Layanee (Ledge and Gardens)
MMD (Mr McGregor's Daughter) and
Pam (Digging)

    joy,

I kind of stumbled around and took my cues from meems at Hoe and Shovel, but basically you decide to award this awrd to 10 bloggers, post about it notify them and let's see..I dragged and clicked the E to my desk top and hoped it would be able to be uploaded to my post. Whew! Take your time, I did!

  4. thanks SO much! I'll tell ya, as a GardenRanter, I sometimes lament the unnoticed condition of my individual blog - waaaah! Okay, I'm whining but all bloggers want to be read, right? This will inspire me to pass on this wonderful encouragement to 10 others who deserve it, too. S

  10. Wow Gail, thanks for the compliment and recognition for BOTH of my blogs. BTW, you would love the lorapetelum. They have a plum variety that is mostly dark red leaves and they have a greener variety that gets multicolored leaves in the winter.

  14. Thank you so much! I'm thrilled that you think I'm worth of this honor. I hope I can find 10 to pass it on to. I think we admire some of the same blogs and I suppose duplicate nominations would be redundant.

  15. That should have read "worthy of this honor." :)

  16. layanee,

I tried to post the banner and can't figure it out! I am going to ask Frances (Faire Garden) or Dave (The Home Garden) for help!

    ewa,

  17. Gail,

To put it on your blog or for others to put it one theirs download it as a picture and save it to your drive. Then since you have blogger go to add a page element (in the layout section) and select the add a picture. Once you do that link your picture to the page element and place it where you want it on your blog. I hope that helps! :)

  19. Thanks Gail! I'm so honored. I guess I'd better get my act together as this is the second one of these I've gotten. What happens if I fail to pass it along to 10 other bloggers? Will I have to give my E back? :-)

  23. Congrats on your "E" award! BTW, LOVE the flowers in your post. I'm watching all of the snow flying by my window thinking about taking a picture of it. It does really look neat plastered to 1/2 of the tree, but I'm SO tired of it all!

  27. I adore Shooting Stars! Mine are in bud but they need a week or two of warm weather to open up. As I type the plink plink plink of rain that is
the never ending forecast in Seattle, is the sound I hear as sunset nears.

  29. I just unloaded a bunch of worms today! Sent a few your way. I have not forgotten about picking my awards but am afraid that lots of my favs have all been picked. So I'm graciously removing the award but thrilled that you selected me. It's been great fun to try and pick a favorite. I know you are surely one of mine!
