Point and Shoot, Part 2

It is too wet to work in the garden so we went to Edwin Warner Park for a walk with our best couple friends. I did take my camera and had every intention of taking some photographs but managed to only get this one of a Sycamore tree (Platanus occidentalis). The exfoliating bark and the whitewashed limbs are a beautiful sight anywhere but against a blue sky are especially nice.

We had a great time and planned a trip to Glacier National Park this summer. Doesn't that sound wonderful? I have never been there and can't wait to see what ever one is talking about!

  3. I like those sycamore trees. I planted one in our yard this past year as a transplant form my in-laws property.

Glacier Nat. Park sounds pretty cool! (pun intended) I hope you'll be taking lots of pictures!

  4. Dh and I lived in Great Falls Montana and it is so pretty there. We never made it to Glacier Park but did make it to the site of the Battle of the Little Big Horn. Montana is a funny state as far as topography. If you drive in from the east headed west, you drive through huge valleys and then up on top of mesas. It's rather eerie. You feel like you get swallowed whole and then all of sudden you come out to the open-ness. It is a rugid and majestic place. You will not regret going. And I love your tree but got so excited about your trip to Montana.

  6. Dave, Anna and Tina,

I love Sycamore trees, too...and Anna, I haven't been anywhere west except Colorado, the desert SW and the West Coast, so this trip is going to be very exciting. We love to travel with our best friends, too.
