Happy Independence Day!

Flowers bursting in the air

You have to love a nation that celebrates its independence every July 4,
not with a parade of guns, tanks, and soldiers
who file by the White House in a show of strength and muscle,
but, with family picnics where kids throw Frisbees,
the potato salad gets iffy,
and the flies die from happiness.
You may think you have overeaten, but it is patriotism.
Erma Bombeck

Wishing you all a day surrounded with loved one and  filled with celebration.

What a perfect flower portrait to honor the day. Beautiful! I too love those little flames and Echinacea so healing . . . it is as if the flowers tells you so. Happy Fourth to you and yours. Carol

  8. Hope you had a great Independence Day, Gail.
I love the quote, it really expresses very good how we Americans love to celebrate the 4th of July as a big family instead of us showing military strength in a big parade.
