  1. Gail,I love that time just before - just before the blooming main event, the sweet waiting time - your shot captures that time so well...

  2. Now isn't that a sign of spring and hope and everything wonderful to come! Do hope that you've been able to right things after your storm - the weather these days is definintely strange.

  11. I assume that is a phlox that will not be happy in my mostly zone 5 garden.

  16. I love the anticipation of waiting for buds to burst into bloom. Do you know, Gail, I've never smelled the fragrance of PPPP? I won't make that mistake this year when mine bloom.

  22. That little clump of PPP you sent last year looks so full and healthy despite the drought last summer. I am excited too. No buds here yet though. Can't wait to see the preview.

  24. Hi Gail, I have added more Phlox to my garden. They performed so well last year, and even survived the summer with very little rain.

Spring is such a lovely time of year....anticipation is the key.

  27. I'm so glad I discovered creeping Phlox - mine are at the same stage, and I am riveted. The flowers are the same colour as the neighbouring Anenome blanda too, which is an added bonus. I suppose I should try and claim credit...

  28. Dear Gail, You capture such a magical time with this photo. I believe my favorite moments are in wait or anticipation for the unfurling folds of blooms. Phlox are so delicate in this stage. I can feel your excitement. Still a bit of a ways off for us here in the NE. Beautiful photograph!
