Excuse Me, While I Kiss The Sky
We interrupt the Two Innocents Abroad Tour to bring you~Blue Skies Over C&L. What's so significant about blue skies you ask? Well, we've had very little blue skies and sunshine since the devastating floods on May 1 and 2. We've been on water restrictions due to a flooded water treatment plant and I've only had to water container plants twice since then. So 'scuse me while I kiss this sky.
If you want to hear some Hendrix~here's my favorite and no, it's not Kiss The Sky!

I can imagine your delight in those blue skies. It is still grey here. I can't wait to see some blue on blue. Happy SWF.ReplyDelete
You go right ahead and kiss that sky girl!!ReplyDelete
Beautiful blue sky. Our sky is the color of concrete today.ReplyDelete
Sunday it is supposed to be sunny and 90-degrees. That is just way too hot!
So happy to see those blue skies for you, Gail! I hope you get to enjoy a lot more of them. It's still rainy here, but it's supposed to turn dry next week and get into the 90's! Looks like I will have to get up really early to beat the heat.ReplyDelete
Hubby and I used to listen to Jimi Hendrix during our dating days--on an 8-track player:)
Just as the sky will be different in a few hours, its present perfection and completeness is not deficient.ReplyDelete
There lies a beauty in those clear blue skies. I'll keep your post in mind today to remind myself to slow down and enjoy simple things in life.ReplyDelete
'scuse me while I kiss this guy! That was Don, he always loved that one, along with chicken in my shoes from Centerfold. HAReplyDelete
So glad you are getting blue skies, Gail, you guys need it. Here, we are getting much needed rain, so weird this weather.
My fave Hendrix is Hey Joe. And Rose, we also listened on 8 track, in the beginning. We keep upgrading the media but always buy some Hendrix. :-)
Gail - took a look at the flood photos - appalling. May your blue skies last for a good long while.ReplyDelete
Hi Gail....go ahead, kiss the sky. I may join you. We have at last warmed up and plants are on the move........the sky is blue with puffy little clouds. Oh joy.....ReplyDelete
Blue skies have been a rare thing around these parts, as well. I'm imagining you out in the gardens, pulling weeds and rocking to Hendrix. :))
I'm glad you're finally getting blue skies Gail. Rain and cloudy skies -- not to mention the devastating flooding in Nashville -- can be really depressing.ReplyDelete
I think we would all be kissing the sky, if we were you.ReplyDelete
Hope it last a while and that you are back to normal soon.
Send some of that blue sky up here to meet. Don't hog it all for yourself!ReplyDelete
What a wonderful sky!ReplyDelete
While thankfully we did not get the floods, we have had lots of good rain for the past week or two. Yesterday the sun showed its lovely face. I hope you get your water back to normal real soon. (BTW, my son is doing his biography project on Hendrix)ReplyDelete
Enjoy, and I hope you have more in the near future!ReplyDelete
Yeah! I hope your water is back to normal soon Gail. Many many sunny days to come! Beautiful sky! ;>)ReplyDelete
I love that blue sky! I'm wishing you perfect gardening weather with just enough gentle rain to make the plants happy.ReplyDelete
Watchtower! that's my favourite.ReplyDelete
I am so happy Gail you've got sun!
Now we have devastating flood - the wave is passing via Warsaw now and it is only 28 cm below the safe levels of embankments. Water is still raising, but they predict it will raise only 10 cm more.
South of od Poland suffered most so far - in some places 12 feets high houses are completely under water! What a weather!
Hi Gail~~ That is one kissable sky, for sure. I suppose gray has its place but blue is so much nicer. Have a great weekend.ReplyDelete
Beautiful sky, Gail - glad you're enjoying clear blue skies once again.ReplyDelete
My favorite Hendrix song is Little Wing - the character he sings of in that song has been an inspiration for most of my life, but I haven't met a Hendrix song I didn't love.
Gail girl I am so behind in visiting blogs .. well, you know what it is like.ReplyDelete
I'm so glad you have blue skies to kiss ! .. I hope the weather holds and you have many more to bask in !
What about cutting a wee bit of the wood so you may see much more of it ? and even perhaps a sunrise or sunset ? .. we all need a little piece of it to hold on to : )
PS I always thought he was saying "while I kiss this guy", as a joke I suppose. LOLReplyDelete
You're excused! Blue skies are definitely worth kissing!ReplyDelete
What a nice trip to England you seem to have had!
What a wonderful blessing for you!ReplyDelete
I love rain...it always saves time for me...less watering.
So glad that you have blue skies now. Hopefully, soon everything will be back to normal again.ReplyDelete
Gail, isn't the sun and blue sky a wonderful antidote to gray skies, downpours (and worse)?ReplyDelete
I wish for regular rain this summer -- who knows if we'll have it, or not. You never know!
Hope you enjoyed your sunny day. I do believe the blue of a clear spring sky is my favorite garden color.ReplyDelete
Sorry to hear about the floods.ReplyDelete
Hope your garden is still happy.
Hendrix ?...you're giving your age away. :)
what a lovely garden--great looking flowers and nice captures.ReplyDelete
You're excused! Glad you have a blue sky to kiss today, here it's grey and if I'd kiss it now my face would be awfully wet.ReplyDelete
PS Will do naother Malvern related post tomorrow.
Yes, it's nice to see the sky. We've had a lot of rain, but not the flooding, at least not where I live. We did get water in the basement, which we frequently do when it rains. I hope repairs go OK for those who need them.ReplyDelete
