Hey Hey You You Get Off Of My Car

I had to put the mute button on! After all, it's a PG blog!

  2. I think you are having a GOOD time with this Miss Priscilla. Just embrace it.
Glad to see you back -- take it easy.

  3. HA Gail, this one cracked me up, on multiple levels! I was singing along with the title, but knew what was coming. The photo is great, as is the quote. Hope Mr. I's car was unscathed! :-)

  5. Hilarious, especially the mute button. Stupid peahens. They aren't the easiest of God's creatures are they?~~Dee

  6. Not really back yet Janet~~It takes hours to do a post...except this one! Mr I and Priscilla cooperated beautifully.

  7. Too funny. Not to himself obviously. It seems unusual that cats and birds like to be on cars. The metal must hold heat.

  8. I hope it didn't leave anything behind!

  9. I would imagine that if she decided that was a comfortable haven, you might have a problem! ;-) Cute photo. It does seem as though she's adopted you! Thanks for the laugh, Gail!

  10. LOL, this is too funny, Gail:) Glad you didn't add the sound--I can only imagine the dialogue wasn't PG rated:)

  12. LOL(-: Love it!
Its better then a dog on top of your car! My dads dogs insist on climbing up on top of his car and sleeping on the roof! Its way funny except to him!!!!!(-:

  13. Thanks for the giggle. :) And I hope she didn't leave her calling card on the roof! (Hope you're healing well.)

  14. Bwah! Hide the keys, or Ms Priscilla will be taking the car for a drive....hope the healing continues well, dear friend.

  15. More Priscilla stories please! I love hearing about her exploits.

  16. She's obviously quite intelligent as it looks quite a bit warmer there on top of the car than in her enclosure!!... see the latest posting on the story of our dog who at part of the snowman's smile!! Take care and keep warm Miranda x

  17. Well, she does know the best and safest spots doesn't she.

A few years ago when we were visiting my Sister's farm, we parked our brand new truck by the barn. The next morning it was covered with Wild Turkey footprints, and scratched up terribly. So much for shooing them away.

  18. Grin, fun post Gail, never knew that peahens had a sense of humor! ;-)

  19. Hi Gail....can't stop laughing....I thought it was Mr P for a moment. He would have had just the same re-action. Way to go Priscilla......

  20. Too funny, Gail! And I bet that peahen (Oh, I see she has a name now, "Priscilla") left some presents behind on that car. -Jean

  22. Gail, I knew immediately when I saw your title what was going on. Why do they think cars are a roosting area? :) Thanks for the smiles.

  23. If that's supposed to be a video, it is just a photo in Firefox... in any case, car hoods are likely warm! :)

  24. Dear Gail, so glad that you can't hear my laughter!

Your little pet training is coming along nicely. When are you going to let her ride with you in the car? (in other words, you're close to taking her willingly for a "nice ride in the country" if you know what I mean). Just open up the back of that car and off she goes! Just be sure to cover the seats with old sheets before letting her inside.

Now, don't get too attached to her!

  25. That is funny :) It looks like the peahen isn't in that big of a hurry to get off either.

  26. Hi Gail, I suspect it's warmer under the car than on top of it. Priscilla's clearly no 'pea brain' - she's much safer on top than under it. In spite of the potential mess she can leave on top of the car, I suspect it's much less messy than it could be if she was under it. :~|

    Hope you're healing well!

  27. Was Priscilla deterred by the pointing finger? It looks like she's trained you guys up well. :)

I hope you are keeping well!

  28. I've been thinking that mr I needs a wand, then he could be a wizard casting an Mobiliarbus or Locomotor spell on Priscilla! gail

  29. Hilarious Gail! Delighted to see your fine sense of humor (I have squirrels nesting in my Acadia engine ... storing pinecones and ripping off insulation ... has everyone at GMC Service scratching their heads and ... smirking)!

  30. So funny, Gail. I'm trying to think of a clever comment, and nothing is coming . . . . so I'll just thank you for the chuckle and give up on trying to give you one in return :-)

  31. And I thought the neighbors cat on top of my car was bad! Ha, this would totally freak me out as it would probably leave a scratch when all the cat leaves is paw prints...

  32. Poor little Priscilla! Voltaire's quote is perfect. lol!

  33. I think Miss Priscilla will be sitting at your kitchen table before too long. Of course she will be doing it for your benefit - it will save you carrying her food outdoors :-)

  34. Oh, dear. Those peahens and peacocks DO love to perch on cars. Between that bad habit and the poo everywhere oh, AND the roosting in great oaks AND pillaging the garden... really I don't have much use for the critters. Seems as if your little girl needs to find a mate she can run off with. Poor Mr. I ...

  35. Hahahaha! My hubby had them as a kids and they would roost in the neighbors garage and poo on the cars...they disappeared, hmmm! Kim

  36. Can you hear me laughing? I needed that.

Hope your recovery is continuing along as scheduled.

    You are missed.
