Thank You, Garden Bloggers

Monarch Butterfly on Profusion Zinnia ~~Blithewold Garden, RI

Dear Garden Blogging Friends,

You won't believe this but, I was completely speechless for a few minutes this weekend! Seriously! You have thrown a surprise party and given me the loveliest of gifts.

Can a blogger be more fortunate? Two awards! Are you sure there wasn't a mistake? Was there a miscount? Did you see the other nominees? They are stellar Bloggers!  What a delight and honor to be in their company.

Thank you, for reading my blog; for taking time to write wonderful comments; for your continued friendship; for your warm welcome into the blogging community and for honoring me with two Blotanical awards. You are the dearest of people...Really, it's you are who are the best.

  7. Hi Gail, when I saw that you had won, it was so exciting, I yelled out, 'Gail won!'. The family didn't get it, but the other bloggers do. We all love your blog and you personally, we are so happy for you. And to think you won on a place where your posts aren't even showing up, it boggles the mind. Hope you can get rested up before you come visit me. ;->

  11. Congratulations on your well deserved awards Gail. It takes a lot more effort to blog than I ever realized (before starting one) so it is nice to have that acknowledged. I look forward to another great year of blogging by you!

  12. Frances,

I pretty much did the same thing when I finally got to read Blotanical (the no computer on vacation thing)! Thank you for the kindest and sweetest compliment! Would you like to hear something funny, the blotanical fix still won't work for me! I would be laughing if I hadn't just had a huge amount of trouble trying to comment while at Blotanical! I am resting now at the computer visiting all of you darling bloggers! I do need a vacation form my vacation...air travel totally negates a wonderful vacation.

  14. Gail, I was so happy when I saw that you had won awards in two categories. I was disappointed when the nominations came out that I couldn't nominate you for best commenter because of some little glitch. But the awards you won were even better--congratulations! You certainly deserve both of them!

Thank you...So glad to help you id the Mistflower. It is a lovely but nearly indescribable blue in person. You never know what the monitor will display when it comes to color!

  42. Congratulations Gail! As others have mentioned, I was disappointed about the glitch that kept you from the best commenter category. Your comments are always so thoughtful and kind, and you must be one of the busiest commenters at Blotanical!

  43. anna,

Hey there my Southern friend! Don't you love the Hey we get to use! Did I miss that you moved your blog?
Comments are so much fun and I do enjoy the interaction with everyone....I am glad you do too!

  44. Gardengirl,

Linda, I have always thought that you were a fantastic commenter!

I don't know about being the busiest commenter at Blotanical...I am still only partially showing up! I have a Firefox Bookmark add on that keeps track of all the new posts of my bookmarked blogs! It is perfect and very helpful! I wish that Blogger would program comments so we could answer each individually like Word Press users can; it would simplfy commenting. I wrote them about it...Maybe we ought to have a campaign to get them to make a change!

Spring Fling 2009~ am I excited? YES! Can't wait to see what you all have planned!

  49. Dear Gail,
I'm so happy for you on your awards.(I haven't been able to get much done over at blotanical for a very long time. I've tried all the fixes and they don't work for me either.)

BUT I did make sure to get over there to vote and I was so happy to see you in the running.

Well deserved for your beautiful spirit, Gail, that is reflected in your beautiful blog.
