My son sent me this photo
I have been watching the lunar eclipse tonight with my mother in St. Louis, my husband on his way home from a business trip, my son in Providence, RI and my best friend two streets over. All by phone.
Right now the moon is a red ball, earlier when it first began, the clouds were painted pink and the sky was a deep indigo. I am not a nature photographer but tonight I wished I was. I'll just have to rely on my memory.
I hope you all are watching this wonderful evening sky show with your loved ones.

My dh went out and watched it. He was thinking about the one that happened last year on March 3. He knew exactly cause it's the day our baby got married. He came home from the wedding and went for a walk. So tonight he was in that sad but happy state of emotion. I didn't look at it. For some reason, they scare me. My brothers gave me that crazy feeling by telling me I would get taken on the days of the red moon. Brothers--errrr.
ReplyDeleteI wish i could have keept my eyes open for this .. I appreciate those who did describing it !

Annaflowergirl and gardenjoy,
ReplyDeleteIt was a treat. I could watch it from the patio door and would occasionally go outside just to breath in the fresh air, listen to the wind chimes and listen for the night creatures. No owls last night, it was too early.

ReplyDeletegale - thanks for visiting my blog! I see you live in Tennessee. I lived in Hendersonville and worked in Nashville for 4 years. My parents and sister still live there. I'm looking forward to reading your blog! Welcome!
ReplyDeleteLoved your blog. Chicago is one of my favorite cities we visit once a year.

We tried to take a look at it but we had quite a few clouds. We did manage to see some bits and pieces of it.
