I planted 2 surprise lilies in the fall, and the leaf part grew this spring, but the flowers never came up.

I love all your blooms!

Seeing your September charm anemone blooming caused me to ponder something. The plant I bought last year is just forming buds, so we're behind you, like we should be. The asters aren't near ready to bloom, and I think of them as fall bloomers. Do yours continue to bloom until the first frost like ours do?Corner Gardener Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10631500918579405664noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3093185160483906357.post-34386253814180302882009-07-26T19:52:08.011-05:002009-07-26T19:52:08.011-05:00Fantastic choices, Gail. It's 'hiding' amongst my other blooms and isn't very tall, so it's not standing out much. I suppose it's not getting enough sun. Your blackberry lily is amazing. I've never seen one before and how pretty it is!
I also skimmed through some of your other posts that I haven't seen and thought the candycane lily is interesting...and the sphinx moth...and your trip to Rhode Island to see Layanee, and your visit to see your son, and and and...wow, I really have missed a lot. I'm in MA right now, on the way to Maine!
