  1. That Columbine is so elegant. It looks like a tiny hanging lantern, all lit up!

The first Hummingbird showed up here in North Mississippi last Saturday. There's 8 or 10 here now. They should be visiting you soon!

  11. I love the shape of the columbine but the heuchera get top billing for the color. So cool. Spring is here!

  12. Very pretty. Do you know what kind of columbine that is? I have had a Winky series in my garden for a couple of years now and added both the vulgaris and canadensis species varieties just over the past couple of weeks. Looks like the flowers will be much smaller on the species ones... Haven't seen any hummers yet at the Winkys. Maybe the species ones attract them better? I have some Coral Honeysuckle nearby too, so I'm really hoping that draws the hummers in~!

    1. A canadensis is what I grow...I love that it gets tall and can make a nice statement when it seeds about, little ones get lost here.

  13. Lovely! My columbines are in bud as well, but my Heucheras are doing jack diddly. They tend to be rather short-lived here; perhaps it's time to find some new ones. This time of year is divine--every time I turn around, there is something new to behold. Enjoy!
